Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization launches news agency specialized in ICT .




Amman, June 9 --Chairman of the United National Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UN-GAID) Talal Abu-Ghazaleh announced the launch of the first fully functional news agency specialized in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

In remarks at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) High Level Panel held in Geneva, Abu-Ghazaleh noted that the one-of-a-kind project follows the success of Ag-IP-news agency, the only specialized global intellectual property (IP) news agency which was established in 2003 to serve the IP society around the globe.

He added that ''the TAG-IT News Agency will act as a coverage tool of the latest news, events and activities in the Information Technology (IT) field and will also unleash the passion inside all of us for a world full of innovations and technology''.

"We would like to present this news agency as a reference to all IT companies and educational institutions in addition to organizations for all the news, events and activities of the IT society," Abu-Ghazaleh said.

Based in Amman, the news agency will cover major IT events and news through 73 offices around the world through a high caliber team of journalists and reporters who will bring the latest in IT world.

UN-GAID Chairman launches first fully functional news agency specialized in ICT .




TAG-IT News Agency will act as a coverage tool of the latest news, events and activities in the Information Technology (IT) field and will also unleash the passion inside all of us for a world full of innovations and technology - Abu-Ghazaleh.
HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of the United National Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UN-GAID), announced the launch of the first fully functional news agency specialized in the field of Information and communication technology (ICT).

The one-of-a-kind project follows the success of Ag-IP-news Agency, The Only Specialized Global Intellectual Property (IP) News Agency which was established in 2003 to serve the IP society around the globe.
"TAG-IT News Agency will act as a coverage tool of the latest news, events and activities in the Information Technology (IT) field and will also unleash the passion inside all of us for a world full of innovations and technology,"
Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh said in his speech at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) High Level Panel held in Geneva.

TAG-Confucius’ mystical Chinese culture festival concludes .


The mystical beauty of the ancient Chinese culture mixed with colourful images of dragons and lanterns evoked the final day of the Chinese cultural heritage dancing and musical performance by Shenyang Normal University band organised by Talal Abu Ghazaleh Confucius Institute (TAG-Confucius) at Al Hussein Cultural Centre.

 
The event was attended by a host of diplomats headed by the Chinese and Korean ambassadors and thousands of fans of the Chinese culture.

 
Talal Abu Ghazaleh, chairman and chief executive officer of Talal Abu Ghazaleh Organisation (TAG-Org), said: “This is the Chinese culture in all its glory and beauty; the wonderful depiction of certain eras in the Chinese civilisation mixed with the beauty of sound decorated our senses.

 
The performance opened the door to many people who are excited to know more about the Chinese culture. It was a celebration of life.

Microsoft signs MoU with Talal Abu Ghazaleh Knowledge Society.

 
Microsoft has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Talal Abu Ghazaleh Knowledge Society, Shabakat Al Ordon, int@j and Meydan to support the Microsoft Innovation Academy programme in developing the technical, business and operational skills of ICT start-ups and entrepreneurs in order to accelerate their growth and success.

 
The Innovation Academy programme, the second phase of the BizSpark programme and an initiative launched by the Microsoft Innovation Centre, is a learning path for startups and entrepreneurs designed to help participants in the initial phases of a start-up and enable them to move to the next step in developing their projects.


The MoU signed between microsoft and its partners will create a set of policy recommendations and define the business, operations and technical tracks of the programme that will support the sustainability and the successful execution of the Innovation Academy.


Rula Ammuri, country manager of Microsoft Jordan stated: “The MoU we are signing will lead to combining the expertise of microsoft with that of leading and respected business and training entities that will provide the programme’s participants with a comprehensive set of skills that will enable their businesses to grow, achieve sustainability and become profitable”.

Under the Patronage of His Excellency Marwan Jumaa, Minister of Information and Communications Technology (MoICT), Microsoft has signed a MOU with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society, Shabakat Al Ordon, int@j and Meydan to support the Microsoft Innovation Academy program in developing the technical, business and operational skills of ICT start-ups and entrepreneurs in order to accelerate their growth and success.


The Innovation Academy program, the second phase of the BizSpark program and an initiative launched by the Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC), is a learning path for startups & entrepreneurs designed to help participants in the initial phases of a start-up and enable them to move to the next step in developing their projects.
