Microsoft and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization Sign a Strategic Technical Partnership Agreement .

31 July 2010-This partnership, which renders TAG-Org to be the first Arab company that signs an agreement with Microsoft in this field, includes a number of joint ventures the most important of which is the first initiative regarding computers for schools and universities in the Arab world- the Arab-Laptop Computer Project (TAG-TOP) manufactured with the highest international standards to become an essential support for the educational sector


Microsoft and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) signed a partnership and technical cooperation agreement in the presence of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of the United National Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UN-GAID), TAG-Org chairman and CEO and Director of Microsoft, Jordan Ms. Rula Al-Amouri..This partnership, which renders TAG-Org to be the first Arab company that signs an agreement with Microsoft in this field, includes a number of joint ventures the most important of which is the first initiative regarding computers for schools and universities in the Arab world- the Arab-Laptop Computer Project (TAG-TOP) manufactured with the highest international standards to become an essential support for the educational sector.


TAG-Org will contribute as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), while Microsoft will offer licenses for their software in a package including system software and other important applications for education, namely, Windows 7 Operating System, Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Security Essentials, and Microsoft Digital Literacy Curriculum along with Learning Essentials for Microsoft Office.


This agreement also entails marketing programs to keep all concerned entities informed of this important project, especially the educational institutions and companies where the marketing programs will be implemented through a number of local certified Microsoft partners and a number of their clients of large corporations.The agreement also provides that both parties shall cooperate to implement several major projects, namely, (Microsoft Academy for Information Technology) for the educational programs provided by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business and issue accredited certifications bearing the logos of both parties.


In addition, this partnership includes community service programs through Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society activities and makes the society a center for Microsoft's initiatives, such as (BizSpark and DreamSpark), Dynamics Academic programs and (Academic Alliance) programs with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business, which is the first of its kind in the Arab region.


HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pleasure on this occasion, saying "I'm very proud of the continuous growth of our partnership with Microsoft within the business plan adopted by our organization in order to achieve sustainable development and capacity building to serve the Arab region."


Meanwhile, Ms. Rula Amouri, General Manager of Microsoft, Jordan, said "Signing this agreement today marks a new step to enhance the solid partnership between TAG-Org and Microsoft. This agreement is distinct from other agreements because it is signed in the era of the global economic crisis, which reflects the confidence of TAG-Org in Microsoft even in such difficult global conditions to achieve long-term returns on its investments."


"Microsoft's role under this agreement is to provide TAG-Org with distinct Microsoft software solutions and technologies capable of developing performance and reducing costs at the same time. We, at Microsoft and through collective license agreements aim to provide all our clients with what meets their needs under flexible financial costs," Amouri added.


According to the agreement Microsoft shall work side by side with TAG-Org to provide the Organization with their advice on several fields such as Software Asset Management (SAM) as well as assisting TAG-Org to market the potentials in Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP). Also, both parties are committed to attend and participate in various events related to information and communication technologies which will be held at TAG-Org headquarters . Both parties shall also cooperate in exchanging information and data within the framework of privacy and intellectual property in a manner that reflects on both parties and serves their objectives.


Meanwhile, Mr. Hani Quttaineh, director of the corporate sector at Microsoft said, "Microsoft, Jordan sees TAG-Org as a strategic partner of great importance and we are proud of the confidence of the Organization in Microsoft and this partnership as well. TAG-College celebrates second graduation .


The Talal Abu Ghazaleh College of Business (TAG-College) - German Jordanian University (GJU) celebrated last week the graduation of its second master’s batch of students.

 
Talal Abu Ghazaleh, head of the TAG-College Advisory Board, congratulated graduates and their families and commended the high educational level of the college thanking the academic staff for their role in providing the graduates with the highest level of education and knowledge to confront the world’s challenges with confidence and contribute to its d?velopment and progress.


On behalf of the graduates, Rula Abdul Rahim Milbes extended her thanks and appreciation to Abu-Ghazaleh and faculty members for giving them the opportunity to achieve their academic goals stressing that the knowledge obtained by the college’s academics will be intelligently used in their professional careers.


At the end of the ceremony, HRH Prince Hassan handed the certificates to graduates, while students with outstanding performance received the college shield in addition to fina?cial awards. Abu Ghazaleh presented Prince Hassan with an honorary shield.

TAG-College Celebrates Second Graduation .


Under the patronage of Prince El Hassan bin Talal, the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business (TAG-College) – German Jordanian University (GJU) celebrated on July 22, 2010 the graduation of its second Masters graduates at the Palace of Culture/Al Hussein Sports City.

 
Attending the ceremony were Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh head of the TAG-College Advisory Board, Dr. Labib Khadra President of the GJU, Dr Hisham Gharaybeh, dean of TAG-College, Mr. Bassam Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG-College executive director in addition to high ranking officials, diplomats, academics and the students' families and friends.
In his speech, Prince El Hassan bin Talal called for more networking between human resources in the region and focused on the need to activate decision formation and policy building to save the nation from crisis.Speaking to graduates, he said "Although the Arab Islamic revival is slow; it is formulating through yourselves and your sons," stressing that "The wisdom of illumination is unmatched and the illumination of knowledge is the real one.""The gap that you are trying to bridge (bring closer) is not financial but it's a third sphere gap that exists between governments, private sector and civil society," he added.


"Our belief will continue in the organizations which form this nation with its third sphere and its young King who we wish him additional and honest veterans who are willing for a change towards the best," he said.


Meanwhile, Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, (title) congratulated graduates and their families saying: "The graduation, as you are all aware, is the product of your efforts. But credit should also be given to your families, professors, friends, colleagues, the university, the College and its Advisory Council.""Today, we thank God for the blessing of security and safety in our dear country, Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and his prudent government, which provided us with the opportunity to gain knowledge and attain success in a peaceful environment," he said."Your sons, the graduates, regard Your Highness as their role model in your morals, principles, modesty; love of knowledge and in your ability to make good use of knowledge. The role model is a mentor and advisor to those who seek success. I advise all graduates to choose a good role model and follow his or her principles," Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh addressed Prince El Hassan.

 
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh commended the high educational level of the College thanking the Academic staff for their role in providing the graduates with the highest level of education and knowledge to confront the world's challenges with confidence and contribute to its development and progress."I chose to graduate from a business school like you so that I can decide the path of institution-building to achieve the dream of an Arab who decided to serve his home country by succeeding and employing his skills towards this goal," Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said.


Meanwhile, President of the GJU Dr. Labib Khadra expressed his pride in the graduates saying "You will be the best to represent the College wherever you are due to the high academic level you enjoy and the experience you have gained. We are so confident that you will always be exceptional individuals and professionals."

TAG-Org and CIMA to Launch First Global Arabic Certificate in Islamic Finance from a Professional Chartered Accountancy Body.


24 July 2010- CIMA and TAG-Org have now been working in partnership for a number of years to bring CIMA and TAG-Org credentials to Jordan, the Gulf states and the wider Arab speaking nations- Dr. Jelly, We are really happy to join forces with CIMA in introducing the TAG-CIMA Arabic version of the CIMA Certificate in Islamic Finance- Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh


The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh CIMA Academy hosted the global launch of the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) Certificate in Islamic Finance in Arabic in Amman on July 22nd at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Forum/Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business.


The launch of the Arabic certificate marks a major step forward for the Islamic finance industry - it is the first global qualification of its kind to be offered by a professionally chartered accountancy body.
Meanwhile, the two bodies will also cooperate in the Global Business Challenge; a competition in the business field provided by CIMA and will be represented in the Arab region through Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business
The competition is based on case study methodology and will be judged by field experts recommended by TAG-College.


Mr. Robert Jelly, executive director of CIMA Education said: "It is a great honor to be here today in Amman, representing CIMA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, for the launch of the TAG-CIMA Arabic version of the CIMA Certificate in Islamic Finance."

TAG-Org, CIMA to launch first global Arabic certificate in Islamic Finance from professional chartered accountancy body .



The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh CIMA Academy hosted the global launch of the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) certificate in Islamic Finance in Arabic in Amman on July 22nd at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Forum/Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business.


The launch of the Arabic certificate marks a major step forward for the Islamic finance industry - it is the first global qualification of its kind to be offered by a professionally chartered accountancy body.

Meanwhile, the two bodies will also cooperate in the Global Business Challenge; a competition in the business field provided by CIMA and will be represented in the Arab region through Talal Abu-Ghazaleh College of Business.

The competition is based on case study methodology and will be judged by field experts recommended by TAG-College.

Mr. Robert Jelly, Executive Director of CIMA Education, said, "It is a great honor to be here today in Amman, representing CIMA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, for the launch of the TAG-CIMA Arabic version of the CIMA Certificate in Islamic Finance."

"CIMA and TAG-Org have now been working in partnership for a number of years to bring CIMA and TAG-Org credentials to Jordan, the Gulf states and the wider Arab speaking nations. Cooperation in the fields of business accounting and Islamic finance has been progressing well and I look forward to a growing partnership in years to come.
