The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) and Emerald Group Publishing Limited have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which aims at supporting management education and research in the Arab world.
To this end, the two parties will cooperate in offering products and services that support management education and professional development.
According to the MoU, the fields of cooperation will be focused on co-publishing projects related to management education and educational quality including journals, case studies, books and e-books in addition to organizing events.

Bridge Initiative inaugurated at TAG-College .
The Business Researchers' Involvement in Developing a Growing Economy (Bridge) Initiative developed by the Economic Development Program (Sabeq) funded by the (USAID) was officially inaugurated on Monday at Talal Abu- Ghazaleh College of Business (TAG-College).
The Bridge Initiative is part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2009 between the USAID Jordan Economic Development Program (Sabeq) and TAG-College in a partnership that will sustain and develop the overall objectives of the Professional Communities in Jordan.
Mr. Bassam Abu-Ghazaleh, Executive Director Of Tag-College, expressed his satisfaction with the work conducted under the Bridge Initiative umbrella stating that "This Initiative completes the vision of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh in building a more professional and experienced society in this business world; TAG-College, as one of the most important specialized academic institutions, is happy to be part of it."
Meanwhile, Dr. Ruba Jaradat, Economic Growth Office - USAID/Jordan said in her inaugurating speech: "The Bridge Initiative is a link between TAG-College students and Professional Communities members' from the Private Sector to direct their researches and studies in a way that serves those firms.
"And as these researches are TAG-C course requirements, the outcome will be a win-win situation as students will benefit from applying the knowledge they have gained from the lectures and the courses on practical cases such Jordanian firms, and the firms will benefit from the output of such high quality researches," she added.

AMMAN: The Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-Knowledge) which was established to support the Arab youth community in building their professional capacities took part in the "Youth Towards Change" Conference held at Philadelphia University.
The event held under HE Ms. Laila Sharaf, member of the Upper House focused on voluntary work and its relation with education with several organizations presenting their views and activities.
TAG-Knowledge Executive Director Mr. Tareq Hammad stressed in his presentation on the importance of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
"In the increasingly conscience-focused marketplaces of the 21st century, CSR is becoming more and more of a necessity rather than a luxury," he said.
"The CSR stems from the fact that being part of an extraordinary society requires extraordinary effort that will lift the base of the society into another stronger and better level," he added.
As a case study, Mr. Hammad tackled the work done by the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) represented by its Chairman and CEO HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh who invested in many projects to help the society through his CSR.
Mr. Hammad gave a briefing on the work of TAG-Knowledge which is considered by many as a "second home for students" who visit its headquarters and enjoy a host of services including capacity building courses, training, internet access among others.
"HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh was keen on creating a one place for the future leaders of this country, a place where they can interact, achieve and succeed and we believe TAG-Knowledge is 'the' place," he said.
TAG-Knowledge is the latest initiative by HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh to perform its CSR towards the Jordanian and Arab communities, and to be a hub for promoting intellect and knowledge, developing Arab youth and human resources, and qualifying the largest number of local professionals by providing them with competitive skills through exposure to knowledge and development in the international community under the direct supervision of TAG-Org experts.
